Quarterly Financial Reporting

At the end of each fiscal quarter (June 30; September 30; December 31; March 30), you will receive a financial report on the investment returns and grantmaking activity of your fund. We maintain a complete history of your grantmaking in The Foundation’s comprehensive database, as well as a hard copy of this history in your file. By managing accounting and recordkeeping for your fund, we relieve you of administrative tasks and IRS reporting.

Learning Opportunities

Donor Orientations introduce new Community Foundation donors to the many donor services we offer. In addition, Donor Orientations are a great way to meet other new donors, become acquainted with Community Foundation staff, and learn about pressing community issues.

Donor Salons provide opportunities to share best practices in philanthropy, examine trends, review ways in which area nonprofit organizations are addressing regional issues, and explore giving opportunities. The Salons also provide networking opportunities with other donors who share your same interests.

Our Annual Meeting, generally held each November, features thought-provoking discussion forums as well as the President's report on our work over the past year. We invite and encourage all of our donors to attend this luncheon event.

Community Foundation offers various publications, distributed to all donors free-of-charge, include Making Connections, our quarterly newsletter included in your quarterly financial statement packets. In addition, sach fiscal year's Annual Report highlights The Community Foundation’s activities, fiscal management, grants and inspiring donor stories. Finally, our periodic reports and issue briefs draw upon new research to examine pressing regional issues.

Assurance

The Community Foundation verifies all grant distributions through a rigorous due diligence process, ensuring that the recommended nonprofit is registered as a public charity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Donor Recognition or Donor Anonymity

When you make a gift from your fund, an award letter recognizing you by name as the donor is generally sent to the grantee organization. However, if you wish to remain anonymous, we will ensure that your identity is kept confidential.

Professional Investment Management

With more than 30 years of proven experience in sound financial stewardship, our expertise enables you to make the most of your investment. That means you can concentrate less on managing your fund and more on your philanthropic goals.

Fund Administration and Reporting

We manage all donor funds according to the highest standards of accountability. An annual audit is conducted and an additional independent committee of professionals reviews the results.
