Recent Grantees
![]() Recent Neighbors in Need Fund Grantees Since its inception, the Neighbors in Need Fund has awarded more than $4.8 million, supporting some 110 Washington-area safety net nonprofits. The most recent grant round in October 2011 focused on safety net services, such as homeless shelters, food programs, clothing distribution, foreclosure prevention and emergency financial support. Previous rounds awarded grants supported mental health services and systems reform/advocacy efforts to preserve public dollars for the safety net and stimulate greater collaboration among organizations and systems.
