  • Annandale Christian Community for Action was able to help more than 50 people avoid foreclosure, get critical medical services and move out of shelters with a Neighbors in Need grant.

  • With government funds and private donations dwindling, Sowing Empowerment and Economic Development (SEED) had to cut the hours of its food distribution center in Prince Georges County. With a grant from NIN, SEED has been able to increase its services to meet the demand.




The safety net nonprofit organizations in the Washington region are hurting. But thanks to support from the Neighbors in Need Fund, they are able to continue to provide shelter, food, clothing and other critical services. Since its inception, the Neighbors in Need Fund has awarded a total of $4.8 million, supporting some 110 Washington-area safety net nonprofits.
