The Community Foundation is not currently conducting any grant rounds for Direct Services or Mental Health Services funding through the Neighbors in Need Regional Fund at this time. Information regarding the Foundation’s long-term safety net work, and any future grant opportunities, will be shared in early 2012.

The goal of The Neighbors in Need Fund is to address some of the most pressing challenges facing the region during the current economic crisis.

The Neighbors in Need Fund is a response fund designed to support::

• Nonprofit safety-net organizations that provide direct services such as food, clothing, shelter, emergency financial assistance, prescriptions and/or foreclosure prevention to meet the increased demand for services;
• Efforts to strengthen the safety-net infrastructure and system through which safety-net services are provided.
