Trends in the U.S. Economy and Philanthropy

On January 11, 2018, The Community Foundation and University of Maryland’s Office of Gift Planning will co-host an event for Maryland alumni who are professional advisors. This event will feature a discussion on trends in the U.S. economy and philanthropy with Professor Emeritus of the Robert H. Smith School of Business, Peter Morici, followed by an exclusive tour of Cole Field House.

Morici is a nationally-acclaimed economic commentator and academic, who served as director of the Office of Economics at the U.S. International Trade Commission. He has been featured on CNN, CBS, BBC, FOX, ABC, CNBC, NPR, and other networks around the world. Cole Field House, the home of UMD basketball for almost 50 years, is now a premier indoor football practice facility and home to the new Center for Sports Medicine, Health, and Human Performance.

If you’re a University of Maryland alum, we’d love to see you there! Please email Emily Davis, Donor Services Associate, at [email protected] to RSVP.
